Do you have any questions?

Paperless handling of warehouse and logistics processes – Craftcloud helps with that!

The larger your equipment inventory, the more likely it is to happen – an upcoming inspection date is forgotten, or an important inspection report cannot be found at the decisive moment. In the worst case, the entire construction site comes to a standstill, resulting in high follow-up costs. This is especially fatal if a piece of equipment is scheduled for different construction sites and the technical inspection or the project is delayed.

To avoid this, all machines, tools, equipment, or vehicles are created with their master data in Craftcloud. By recording a serial or inventory number, the individual piece of equipment can then be clearly identified. Subsequently, maintenance or inspection dates as well as due dates can be stored individually. A list view can be used to display all upcoming maintenance and inspections with due dates.

This minimizes the risk that legally required inspections are forgotten.

How does the digital inspection work?

So-called inspection plans or inspection templates can be created for maintenance tasks that are carried out internally in the company’s own workshop. The inspection can be carried out directly in the software on the basis of the inspection plan and the inspection result can be saved.

In the case of tests performed externally, it is possible to attach a test report in PDF or Word format to the device card using the drag & drop function. Test reports are thus easy to find at any time and can be retrieved from anywhere – even mobile from the construction site.

As an integrated solution, Craftcloud also takes the entered maintenance and inspection dates into account during scheduling. If the dispatcher wants to deliver a piece of construction equipment to the construction site for which a maintenance appointment is due in the planned period of use, he receives a notice on the screen or on the app.

The same applies to untested equipment. This prevents the disposition of blocked or untested equipment.

One of our customers is Schmitt Baumaschinenvermietung GmbH. The company started very small and at the beginning only rented agricultural machinery. In the meantime, the company owns a number of construction machines ranging from working platforms, construction equipment, dehumidifiers, chain excavators, wheel loaders, light masts, and much more.

The numerous construction machines need to be managed properly so that they can be used in a targeted manner, thus preventing downtime.

Craftcloud offers a really good software solution that covers all relevant aspects of a modern logistics solution, integrating important areas such as route planning, equipment checks, and topic of cost allocation.

In the office, the dispatcher can view the order directly in the integrated warehouse management software and can immediately process it further and give final approval. The scheduler thus manages the construction machines clearly, paperlessly, and efficiently. The released requirements are then picked up in the warehouse and digitally displayed in the warehouse with the corresponding storage locations. The picked equipment can then be made available for loading. In parallel, route planning was carried out in the scheduling department. The loading of the machines is also documented via the app, as is the successful unloading and provision at the construction site.

With the software solution from Craftcloud, Schmitt GmbH has managed to work quickly, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

The trend towards digitalization is increasingly reaching the construction industry – a sector that still lags behind industry in this area. The desire for a digital construction site and especially the digitization of warehouse and logistics processes is increasingly coming to the fore.

Competitiveness will probably soon be measured by the maturity of digitalization. If you are interested, contact our team and we will work out an individual concept for you together!
